Design:
Obverse (front): Features a representation of Saint George slaying the dragon, inspired by Benedetto Pistrucci's design for gold sovereign coinage.

Minting: The 1850 issue was struck at the Royal Mint in London, while later issues, including the 1854 token, were partly or entirely produced by Heaton's Mint in Birmingham, England, using dies supplied by the Royal Mint.
