Stunning Large "Courting Birds" Vintage Asian Famille Rose Porcelain Covered BowlThis is an absolutely Stunning Large "Courting Birds" Vintage Asian Famille Rose Porcelain round Covered Bowl.The bowl is intricately hand painted with a relief surface germane to the vintage Asian Famille Rose style and features two very ornately designed exotic birds with very fine detailing courting each other on a field of various flowers and patterns on a cool pink field.The bottom part of the bowl also features intricately designed flowers and smaller songbirds perched on branches watching the larger birds courting each other on the top lid.The piece is large and measures approximately 11" wide by 7" high and is in great vintage condition with no cracks, dings or any visible anomalies.It was made in the late 1950's by TOYO Porcelain Co, which was originally a Japanese company but also has manufacturing facilities in China, particularly in Macao, mostly producing Japanese oriented artistry.This is an exquisite example of traditional Asian Famille Rose Porcelain in such a unique color combination that would add an exotic accent to any environment.
